There are a lot of video instruction DVD's out there. But Jeff seems to have got the approach to teaching guitar through this media right. I have put my money where my mouth is and purchased Kings of Tone and 50 Blues Rock Licks through Truefire. It's more like having your more talented guitar playing friend teaching you stuff in your lounge-room. There is no grandstanding, just patient, "this is how I do it" instruction. I like equipment too. Kings of tone is like shooting the breeze with a fellow gear junkie who obviously likes the toys too. You can learn stuff from these DVD's, but more important, they are good to watch too, with little asides and background information about the licks and the players that made them famous. Jeff is the sort of guy that taught you the 'three chord trick' when you first picked up the guitar. Remember that moment? It's here. It's back.Thanks.
Hey Will! Thank you so much for your email! It really appreciate you taking the time to write it, that means a lot to me. I take teaching very seriously and really enjoy it, I am a lucky to be doing it for a living. It especially makes what I do really rewarding when I get an email like this. Thank you.
